How Family Court Brings Down Productivity

The family court system is out of control. No one can deny it. If you personally have not experienced the crazy system, chances are a friend, family member, or an employee has.

Yes, those crazy stories are true, and they are not your employee trying to get out of work.

These parents/employees are under a lot of stress and it hinders every aspect of their life including work. Your employees are focused on their children, how they are going to find the money for an attorney, how they are going to live, and the list goes on. They are focused on these issues while trying to perform their work and keep up their performance.

The courts will make parents jump through hoops.

The courts do not care about a parents employer or work unless they are the ones paying for child support and then they really could care less. If a court orders treatment or a parent go to a certain class, they better get there or it will show they really could care less about their children.

Laws have needed to be created for noncustodial parents.

The courts are not allowed to take more than 60 percent of a parents wage. You just know that judges were taking all of peoples paychecks and a law had to be made that no more than 60 percent could be taken. How is a parent going to live with that much child support being taken out of their paycheck?

Can't live and pay child support you will get a felony.

This has never made sense! The courts say let us give these parents a criminal charge and then say get a job and pay child support. Employers are reluctant to hire job candidates if they have a criminal record. Its been proven you can not live on minimum wage, but some parents live on less than that after child support has been taken out.

Some employees become traumatized and sadly others take their lives.

Sometimes it is the children who can not stand being put in the middle and they take their own lives. Children and parents are being diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSD) just because they are in the family court system.

Sometimes these cases go on for 17 years or more.

Once you are in the system, it is hard to get out. This is happening all across the United States and employers are feeling the effects on their business. Work Wellness has become a resource for corporate health and wellness teams. We work with corporations to help their employees struggling in family court.
